SHB30416 - Certificate III in Hairdressing
This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as hairdressers working as part of a team in a hairdressing environment, and who are competent in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, selling products and services, and designing and applying a broad range of technical hairdressing services on clients, the job role is referred to as a Hairdresser.
The SHB30416 – Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification is made up of 28 units and takes between 3 years full time and 4 years part time to complete (depending on the jurisdiction). If you have completed SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Services, credit will be given for units already studied.
You will learn mostly on the job, in the heart of an active salon! You’ll also be supported through online activities such as reading, research, and projects. Assessment work will be set for each unit of learning, to ensure you’re getting across all aspects of the training.

You will need to complete your theory assessment, and your workplace supervisor will confirm that you have undertaken all your set tasks.
The SHB30416 – Certificate III in Hairdressing is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway, however, it is not suitable for VETiS delivery.

As an apprentice you will need to purchase your own tools of trade, (scissors, combs etc.) and we can provide you with some details on kits available through suppliers who offer student discounts.
